Equinox Business Park, Deakin

This master-planned Business Park comprises of five separate office buildings and a unique central amenities building. Each building ranges in size from 3400m2 to 8400m2 and are four storey’s high with an additional two floors of basement parking. Stormwater recycling tanks have been installed for re-use in gardens and toilets. Creative also completed three fit outs within the Business Park itself.
Helen King Hearing Centre, Kingston
Located on the tranquil Kingston Foreshore, The Helen King Hearing Centre houses what was, previously six separate clinics across Canberra. The design had to be multi-functional to cater for all administration, assembly and adjustments to hearing aids, as well as sound booths for hearing testing. Creative made practical and inventive use of every metre available. Frosted glazing to office partitions allowed natural light to flow through the centre. All joinery was made in Jarrah or white to bring in warmth whilst maintaining a fresh, crisp interior.
Star Q, Queanbeyan
Limited space and an extremely tight deadline presented many challenges and technical hitches when designing this restaurant. Creative had to be mindful of the existing businesses operating either side of Star Q from beginning to end.
All difficulties were overcome with careful planning, Creative thinking and an out of hours work schedule. A blend of interesting materials, and streamlined finishes has resulted in an edgy, relaxed environment.
Trieste, Kingston
The Trieste complex, features 25 units, ranging from one, two and three bedroom apartments. Each luxury unit opens to a wide, welcoming entrance hall and features a generous modern kitchen as well as ensuites for each bedroom. Selected units also include a full bath.
The ground floor units at the back of the complex include a massive tiled courtyard of some 117m2.
Screen plantings are positioned for privacy to individual units rather than unattractive fencing. The total building is over 4100m2 including basement parking and storage areas of 1100m2.
1 Holwell St, Greenway

This two storey commercial building in Greenway was designed with energy management and sustainability strategies in mind. With a total floor space of 3400m2 the building has a 25000L onsite water retention system and is Greenstar registered. An undercroft accommodates 88 car spaces.

The exterior construction features striking charcoal block-work with contrasting smooth bands
Waterside, Belconnen
The Waterside Development consists of 60 residential units and four commercial units across from Lake Ginninderra.
The living areas within the residential units cleverly reflect a sense of space and light flowing from room to room. The simple clean lines and streamlined format creates a contemporary but timeless habitat. Quality appliances and fittings complement fashionable custom-designed kitchens and bathrooms. Ecoply, feature-steel and mini orb have been used to add character and style to the overall building.
55 Wentworth Ave, Kingston

This Greenstar building defines environmental design. Standing proud within the Kingston Foreshore Precinct, the DLA Phillips Fox Building offers over 8000m2 of office space planned for functionality over five levels on Wentworth Avenue. The building also has two levels of basement parking.
The external façade is a combination of Alucobond and glazing with striking timber-look awnings. The stormwater is collected in a 70,000 litre tank and is reused on the landscaping and toilets throughout.
Parkway Church, Kambah

Creative was chosen to rebuild the Church on a new site in Kambah, after all seven buildings of the New Creation Ministries Centre at Holder were devastated by the firestorm.
The new structural steel Church was built and clad with rendered foam panels, to resemble sandstone blocks, and custom-orb cladding. The composite sandwich roof-system was used to span across the large open space in the auditorium, replacing the ceiling with a white Colorbond finish on the underside of the panels.
The building is heated by an in-slab gas hydronic piping system. The same system is used to cool the building using large underground tanks, storing cool water. The cool tank water can also be pumped onto the building\'s roof creating an evaporative cooling effect as it flows across the roof and returns to the tank via the stormwater drainage system.
Sizzle Café, ANU
Sizzle Café, at The Australian National University (ANU), is characterised by clean polished lines.
Porcelain tiles, stainless steel and marble materials create a pleasing Café environment. The dining room combines lounges and booths with tables and chairs that spill out through bi-fold doors to a relaxed outdoor area. Timber beams to the ceiling were used to add warmth and a pleasant environment, while feature walls and false windows add interesting depth to the space.
